At JBoss World 2008 in Orlando, Florida, we'll be running a hackathon.

What's a hackathon?

A hackathon is a time and a place for folks to get together and do some organized hacking.  In person.  With other people. We'll provide snacks and drinks, along with internet connectivity, a sense of camaraderie, and maybe some door prizes.

When's the hackathon?

We've got space organized during JBoss World in the evenings, as an alternative to the BoFs.  We'll be trying to wrangle the space on a continuous basis, also, to allow hacking whenever you've got the time.

Why should I be interested?

JBoss leads and all sorts of contributors will be around, writing code, live, in real-time, without a net.  You'll want to be a part of that.

I want to help, what should I do?

If you're a project lead or committer, and you've got some functionality or feature you want to hack out with others, just create a new page in this wiki (or elsewhere if you want), and add it to this list.  Just copy the template and go from there.  If you're not up for organizing a session, you can still add your name to the attendee list, along with what projects you're interested in.
